About this series
A Year of YesNear-black fills most of the frame, so the light does all the talking. Vertical streaks of red, gold and warm white pull down through oversized YES letterforms that sit just out of focus, with color fringing along the edges the way a lens splits light. Thin all-caps type in Hattami reads A YEAR OF, and a handwritten italic Yes glows beside it. Small technical markings run along the top, bottom and side edges like a film frame. In a dark room, on a big screen, it feels cinematic and expectant rather than loud.
