Demons theme: defeat the darkness with circular design
Series Summary:
Many people either ignore the reality of demons or give them too much power in their lives. But the Bible makes it clear—there is a spiritual battle happening around us. This series will expose the enemy’s tactics, equip believers to stand firm, and proclaim the victory we have in Christ. By understanding the nature of spiritual warfare, we will learn to walk in authority, resist the devil, and live in freedom.
Theme Scripture:
Ephesians 6:12
Week 1

Week 1: “The Reality of the Unseen”

Scripture: Ephesians 6:12, Mark 5:1-20

Introduction:

In our modern world, it’s easy to dismiss the supernatural, but Jesus never did. He regularly confronted demonic forces and taught His disciples to do the same. If we ignore the unseen battle, we leave ourselves vulnerable.

Key Points:

Demons are real, but they are not in control. (Mark 1:34)

Satan’s strategy is deception—he wants us blind to the battle. (John 8:44)

Jesus has ultimate authority over darkness. (Luke 10:19)

Application:

We must open our spiritual eyes and recognize that we are in a battle, but we do not fight alone—Christ fights for us.

Closing Thoughts:

Ignorance is the enemy’s advantage. It’s time to wake up and walk in truth.

Week 2: “Exposing the Enemy’s Playbook”

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 11:14, 1 Peter 5:8-9

Introduction:

If you were preparing for battle, wouldn’t you study the tactics of your opponent? The Bible exposes how Satan and his demons work so that we are not caught off guard.

Key Points:

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

Demons influence minds and oppress lives. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

The devil’s greatest weapon is fear, but God gives us power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Application:

Recognizing the enemy’s schemes allows us to resist him effectively through faith and the Word of God.

Closing Thoughts:

Satan only has the power we give him. Take back the authority that Christ has given you.

Week 3: “The Authority of the Believer”

Scripture: Matthew 10:1, James 4:7

Introduction:

Many Christians live as if they are powerless against darkness, but Jesus gave us authority over the enemy. The problem is, authority unused is authority wasted.

Key Points:

Jesus gave His followers authority over demons. (Luke 10:17-19)

Spiritual warfare is not about fighting for victory but enforcing Christ’s victory. (Colossians 2:15)

We resist the devil by submitting to God and standing firm. (James 4:7)

Application:

If you belong to Christ, you don’t have to live in fear—you have the power to walk in victory.

Closing Thoughts:

We don’t overcome demons by shouting louder—we overcome by standing firm in the authority of Jesus.

Week 4: “Victory Over Darkness”

Scripture: Romans 8:37-39, Revelation 12:11

Introduction:

The good news is that the war is already won. Jesus defeated the power of sin, death, and darkness, and He invites us to live in that victory every day.

Key Points:

Jesus’ death and resurrection disarmed the enemy. (Colossians 2:14-15)

We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11)

Nothing can separate us from God’s love or His power. (Romans 8:37-39)

Application:

We must stop living as victims and start living as victors. The power of Christ is greater than any demonic attack.

Closing Thoughts:

The enemy has already been defeated—walk in the victory that Christ has secured for you.
